I prefer Ms. or Doc, or just The/Da Bolt, for those not comfortable with Julie/Juls. Not as fond of the other options, though many of my sweet students at Bronx seem most comfortable with Mam or Miss. I had thought that was do to their unusual politeness, not my Formerly status. Sigh.

I'm pretty surprised I didn't take him out. On the other hand, I had chocolate in my hand and I would have had to put the chocolate down.And I think "young man" makes you a formerly, but "NICE young man" makes you a formerly plus.
