I was listening to an interview on Oprah Radio today with you and how you explained that we "FHs" give up fashion for comfort. So true. Oddly, my husband of the past 3 years and I are both anti-belt. I swear if i wear one now, it gives me a stomach ache. So unfortunately for my family members, my jeans ride down and they get views of my comfortable underwear. I usually wear a tank top under t-shirts and that covers the gaps. Oh, yeah.

OMG! I was just complaining about this very thing the other day! I can't find a pair of jeans that actually fit like they're supposed to anymore. I know they don't make jeans like they did when I was young and skinny, but, come on! Not everyone can comfortably wear those hipsters they make nowadays. One of the younger girls at work (25) was commenting on how us older chicks (I'm 35) need to wear our jeans lower. I told her that if I wore them lower 1.) They would cut me in half 2.) My flab would spill out over the top of them, and 3.)They would fall off. I miss being able to find clothes that fit well.

I prefer to blame the formerly formerly hot who are currently in charge of creating the fashion must-do's and insist on patternmaking that fits the hipless wonders that are their children. I wrote an entire piece on this for ThirdAge, which never saw the light of day. I'm thinking suspenders...or a rope belt like my great grandfather wore.
